Our second event of the year -- our International Have a Cigar Day & Port Tasting -- was held on Thursday, May 31st, and a tremendous successand it was: we had forty-one attendees, up from twenty-seven at our Scotch Tasting & Cigars two weeks ago.
The ominous clouds forced us from District's rooftop, but didn't darken the spirit among Long Ashes Cigar Club as we enjoyed a fine evening of cigars and port wine and camaraderie.
Long Ashes Cigar Club would like to thank Skip Long, the general manager of District Rooftop Bar & Grille, for his sensational hospitality and hard work organizing the tasting. Additionally, much thanks to Jeremy Overman with Country Vintner for sharing his expertise on the selected ports.
Furthermore, Long Ashes Cigar Club would like to extend a personal thank you to Jack Toraño and Toraño Family Cigar Company for their generous care package for this herf. As always, we look forward to reciprocating their support.
