Twin City Cigars will be a boutique cigar and specialty goods retailer, located in the heart of beautiful Winston-Salem. It will specialize in top shelf cigars, artisan pipes, and pipe tobacco. The members' only lounge will be appointed with personalized lockers, leather club chairs, state of the art ventilation, hi-def LCD television, Wi-Fi. Members also receive a 5% discount on all purchases.

There will also be a separate, general smoking area for non-members.

Cigar Season 2012 . . . it's a wrap!

Long Ashes Cigar Club,

 

Thank you for another sensational cigar season! We not only added many new faces to the club, but also hosted more events and raised more charitable contributions this year than in any past: more than $1,300! 

 

We wrapped up the year on a beautiful afternoon this past Sunday with our Tale of Two Cigars event, an event in which nearly a third of the club enjoyed good conversation among good friends.

 

I wish all of you a Merry Christmas, and thank you for being part of Long Ashes Cigar Club.

A Tale of Two Cigars

Mark those calendars and join us for our final organized event before winter settles in. We will all be at River Birch Lodge (3324 Robinhood Rd. Winston-Salem) on Sunday, Dec. 2nd from 2:00-4:00 for our last herf: A Tale of Two Cigars!

We will put head-to-head two premium cigars. One of your cigars will be the new ROMEO from Altadis U.S.A. Your second cigar, however, will remain a mystery until Dec. 2. Those members and guests who participate will also receive a humidified Boveda bag and a cigar rating card. Price is $5.

Please remember that -- due to limited seating -- you and your guests must RSVP so I know how many A Tale of Two Cigars bags to put together. You are welcome to join fellow members and guest for lunch prior to or dinner after the event.

Even if you have not attended one of our events in the past, you are welcome to join fellow cigar lovers of Long Ashes Cigar Club | Winston-Salem.

Sangria and Cigars with Piedmont Opera

I'm excited to share with you another Winston-Salem cigar opportunity -- this one with Piedmont Opera and one in which Long Ashes Cigar Club occupied a modest role as facilitator.


Piedmont Opera has invited all of Long Ashes Cigar Club to its 2012-2013 Sangria & Cigars party. Enjoy bottomless sangrias, delicious tapas, and share cigars in the Spring House's courtyard with the cast of Carmen.

This is event is open to the public.

Relish has signed on to provide media coverage; therefore, be sure to wear those LACC shirts and hats if possible. Otherwise, dress code for the event is casual.

Your $45 ticket includes an afternoon of sangria, tapas, a cigar, an excuse to get out of the house, and unlimited hobnobbing. I've also heard rumors that there may be drawings for various prizes from Piedmont Opera, Spring House, and The Pipe and Pint.

Good times ...

Thanks to all the wives and girlfriends who allowed Long Ashes Cigar Club to host a sensational Scotch & Cigars event this past Wednesday night at River Birch Lodge.

Reid did a tremendous job of selecting three seductive single malts to pair with our cigars, cigars that burned long past our usual bedtimes (well, mine at least). Not to go unnoticed were some new faces joining us, and we're glad to have them be part of Long Ashes Cigar Club.

The weather, the cigars, the camaraderie that this glorious pastime brings -- it couldn't have been any better.

Single Malts and Cigars 9/19

Wounded Warrior Project Campaign 2012

Long Ashes Cigar Club held its 2nd Annual WWP x 5 Campaign last night at the beautiful District Rooftop Bar and Grille. Thirty-three cigar lovers and LACC faithful showed up last night for great cigars and good times, all in an effort to raise a bit of money for Wounded Warrior Project.

The event was a success on all points: we had seven new faces join us, the weather was glorious (unlike last time), and our fundraising effort netted $370 for this magnificent organization -- a 270% increase over last year!

Long Ashes Cigar Club has committed itself to civic works and it gives us all great pleasure to contribute to such a worthy cause and assist the heroes who protect our freedom. God bless all of you.
